NFA Invite 1st Dec 2011

Dear LAIOG Members

Fighting Fraud Locally – 1st December 2011, London

The cost of fraud committed against Local Government was last year estimated at £2.1 billion. It is up to all of us to work together to tackle fraud to protect local government resources from losses.

I am writing to invite you to Fighting Fraud Locally – a strategy to help reduce fraud against local government. This strategy has been developed in collaboration with local authorities from across England and Wales and will be launched at this important event held in London on 1st December. We are delighted that Baroness Hanham CBE, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for the Department of Communities and Local Government, has agreed to speak at this event and will provide the keynote address at the start of the day.

This email represents an opportunity to register your attendance. There is no charge for attendance.

The conference will also showcase a series of case studies and pilot schemes, which will demonstrate options available to help you tackle fraud in your organisation.
